A chemical peel is an application of cosmetic acids directly onto the skin. These acids are specifically formulated to kill bacteria and dissolve dead skin cells. Chemical peels generally result in mild to moderate peeling for about 1-5 days post application.

Salicylic acid is a gentle BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole) derived from willow bark. It’s long been used to treat skin conditions like acne.
